Our Chula Vista team handles both immediate drain concerns and planned drainage work. We help with blocked or recurring drains, damaged lines, replacements, remodel-related changes, and new drain installations for properties and construction projects.
Different drain problems and projects require different solutions. Our Chula Vista team can help determine whether the next step should be drain cleaning, camera inspection, repair, replacement, or a new installation based on what is happening at the property.
A slow or blocked drain may need professional cleaning or clog removal, especially when plunging or store bought products do not solve the problem.
Recurring clogs, odors, or backups may point to buildup, roots, or damage farther inside the line. A camera inspection may help identify what is causing the issue.
When multiple sinks, toilets, tubs, or floor drains are having problems at the same time, the issue may involve a shared drain or main line.
Visible leaks, repeated backups, soft ground, or camera findings may show that part of the line needs repair or replacement.
Remodeling, fixture changes, damaged piping, or an outdated layout may require a drain line to be relocated or replaced.
New fixtures, additions, tenant improvements, and commercial projects may require new drain lines or connections planned around the project.
When you call, we gather the details about the drain problem or planned project and schedule an on-site visit when needed. Our team evaluates the accessible system or work area, explains what we find, and helps determine whether the next step should be cleaning, inspection, repair, replacement, relocation, or installation.
When you call, we ask a few helpful questions about what is happening, which areas are affected, or what type of drain work is being planned.
We arrange a time for our team to visit the property, review the accessible drain system, and look at the area connected to the problem or project.
Depending on the situation, we may review drainage performance, visible piping, access points, fixture locations, or the proposed installation area.
We explain whether the situation appears to require cleaning, camera inspection, repair, replacement, relocation, or new installation.
We review the recommended drain work, answer your questions, and outline what needs to happen next before any approved service is scheduled or completed.
The cost of drain work depends on what is affecting the line, where the problem is located, how easily the system can be accessed, and whether the service involves cleaning, inspection, repair, replacement, or installation. The ranges below provide a general starting point, but the final price depends on what we find and the work you approve.
We offer free on-site estimates and explain the price before any approved work begins. These ranges are general estimates, and the final cost depends on the drain condition, access, service required, and project scope.

Based on 154 reviews The tech was prompt and did excellent work. Michael Jones I had solid plumbing & drains come out to make some repairs on the drains for both my toilets and replaced my outdated laundry box that was not working. The techs Emmanuel and Mario were so professional, fast, and knew exactly what the problem was. They even went the extra mile and hooked up my washer and dryer once they finished the repairs. Everything works perfectly now. Solid service, fair pricing, and real attention to detail. I’d highly recommend them. Elizabeth Hernandez I needed a plumber to take care of a main line back-up on a Saturday. The team responded promptly, was very professional, and took care of the issue all in one visit. Thank you! Jennifer French I had some landscape drain problems. Had one of the TV big company over and they essentially said they needed to bust up my concrete patio etc etc and they would not touch a lateral drain. Got in touch with Mario and had a great conversation with him on the problem. He came over with his crew Emanuel and Angel. Mario diagnosed the issue and created a plan of attack. The main drain line was full of roots but he got them and the issue if FIXED. They were pleasant to deal with, very professional and did a great job. I will definitely go back to them for any further inside or outside plumbing problem! Thank you Mario! Joe Vaccaro Great service. Quick response and reasonable prices. Jill Eastin Solid Company & Drains Representatives reported as scheduled and came with an attitude of getting the job done. They secured their ladder, hopped up in the attic and within 5 minutes Mario had determined the problem. He took pictures of the area and sent them to me on my phone. He explained each photo. Incredible! Additionally, he suggested that I get a specialty company to use special tools to determine if there is additional water damage in the wall area that they could not see. I really appreciated that suggestion. Thanks to Mario and Angel for their professionalism, friendly attitude, and great plumbing skills! Claudette Lobbins

Based on 131 reviewsVerified Emmanuel and Angelo are the best team! They showed up at my house in El Cajon within 30 minutes of calling. We had been dealing with this issue for almost a year, and they were the first ones to actually figure it out. They ran a camera down the drain, found the clog right away, cut out the damaged pipe, and replaced everything properly. Great pricing, super professional, and easy to work with. Highly recommend Solid Plumbing & Drains! David W.Verified i hired Mario and his crew (Emmanuel and Angel) today for a landscape drain issue after turning away one of the big TV companies that essentially refused the work. Mario showed up on time, reasonably diagnosed the issue and made a game plan. In the end he was able to clear the problem! They left the job clean. very professional and job well done! thank you!!! J V.Verified Mario arrived before he said he would. Pleasant & knowledgeable. Daniel assisted, and they resolved the blockage. Very grateful; highly recommend this company!!! Linda A.Verified I had a patio drain that was very sluggish. Mario and Angel came and took 2 hours unblocking a mountain of mud from down the line. They were professional, resourceful using multiple pieces of equipment and persistent working till the blockage finally gave way. They also had to go through my house to get to drain and they were very neat laying down plastic to protect my floors. I am a very happy and highly recommend them. M R.Verified Mario talked a good game, and the job got done. I am not sure I got the best value, but that's partially my fault, in that I was motivated to get an emergency solved ASAP, and so I only got one bid -- from Solid. I would have felt a lot more comfortable if Solid could have provided a line item invoice, so I could see what I was being charged for each task. Mario claimed that they're somehow not allowed to provide that information. There were a few less-than-stellar incidents along the way, causing delays and inconvenience. These seemed to be caused by inadequate attention to detail, perhaps due to Solid being "spread too thin". But the job did finally get done. Russ S.Verified We have used Solid Plumbing & Drains for multiple projects at our property and we have been extremely happy with their quality of work! Mario is very knowledgeable and a great guy to work with. He and his team really care about doing a good job and satisfying their clients. Highly recommend this company! Maria M.Verified Mario was right on time and took care of the problem quickly, efficiently, and cleanly! Loli W.Verified Such a great company to work with. They truly help out and are very patient and knowledgeable. I love that they also answer right away and are willing to go the extra mile. David M.Verified They responded very fast! Great job! Very professional! Reasonable pricing! Highly recommend! Aaron H.Verified We had a leaky copper water line in the attic, dripping through ceiling drywall late on a hot Friday afternoon. We contacted Solid Plumbing & Drains through the Yelp website. We appreciated Mario, the owner, quickly responding by phone and that he arrived with his assistant about an hour later. Mario replaced a short length of the leaking water line, charging $658. So far so good. But Mario said and did several things which caused me to no longer trust him. (1) When he gave me the initial price of $750, he said there were actually two leaky fittings (showed me photos) but the next morning I saw he only made one repair; apparently there was really only one leaky joint. (2) His written estimate said he would make solder joints per code, but then he mentioned he would use a "pro press", which I Googled and found out is essentially a crimped connection which is faster and easier for the plumber. When I told him I wanted conventional soldered joints, he resisted and tried to talk me into the pro press. When I insisted on soldered joints, he said he would need a "change order" to charge more money. I pointed out that his written estimate called for solder joints; he said the estimate was AI generated and it should have said pro press. So after a rather lengthy discussion Mario agreed to do the job with soldered joints, and it looks like he did a good job. (3) He told me his work is guaranteed for one year; but his invoice (received by email hours later) had a link to "terms and conditions", which state that his work is only guaranteed for 90 days. (4) When he first described what he had found in the attic (as he quoted me an initial price of $750) he said the leaks had been going on for some time with damage to a wood beam, and that he would refer me to a remediation company. But at the end (after our disagreement on method of repair) I asked him about the possible beam damage, and he acted like he had never said any such thing. Rick E.

Stop using the affected fixture and limit water use in nearby sinks, toilets, showers, and appliances so the backup does not get worse. Move belongings away from the area, avoid contact with any water that may contain sewage, and call our drain team to have the problem evaluated. Reducing water use is one of the most important immediate steps when a drain or sewer system is backing up.
A blockage caused by grease, soap, debris, or buildup may only require cleaning. When the same problem returns, several fixtures are affected, or the line appears cracked, shifted, or damaged, an inspection may be needed before deciding whether repair or replacement makes sense.
Yes. When the cause or condition is not clear, a camera line inspection can help us view the accessible pipe and look for roots, buildup, cracks, separated joints, or damaged sections before recommending larger work.
Yes. Our team can evaluate drain installation, replacement, relocation, fixture additions, tenant improvements, and other planned drainage work. The required scope depends on the existing layout, access, connections, and project plans.
